About this course
This course takes you from never having opened a terminal to using Linux with confidence. You set up Linux in a safe virtual machine, learn how the desktop and the terminal fit together and move through the filesystem with a few core commands. You create, copy, move and delete files, read and change permissions and understand what sudo really does. You install and remove software with the package manager, watch and stop running processes and finish by writing your first bash script. Every lesson ends with a small challenge and a worked solution, and a short quiz after each lesson plus a final exam lead to the Tabellab certificate. Everything is practised on your own computer or virtual machine, for legal learning only.
