About this course

In this course you bring numbers into a family tree with a spreadsheet, using one fictional family from start to finish. You count ancestors per generation with POWER and see how pedigree collapse reduces the unique people when lines cross. You number ancestors with the father 2n, mother 2n + 1 scheme, find any number's generation with LOG and look up parents with XLOOKUP. You work out cousin degrees and removed steps and fill a relationship chart, turn stated ages into birth-year ranges and their overlap, flag impossible dates with IFS, measure moves on a map grid and finish with a research tracker and chart.
