About this course
In this course you run the numbers of a fictional jewellery studio, one lab at a time. You turn finger measurements into ring sizes with PI and an approximate lookup, cut ring blanks and jump rings along the middle line of the metal, and weigh wire and sheet from volume and density. You convert karat to fineness, mix two metals to a target fineness with a mass balance and value pieces by their fine metal, including scrap offers and a price sensitivity grid. Finally you count beads, pattern repeats and stones, total a findings list and price a collection with a metal surcharge.
