About this course
This course turns grazing management into spreadsheet work you can check. On a fictional grassland farm you convert cattle and sheep into livestock units and stocking rates, fit a plate-meter calibration line with SLOPE and INTERCEPT and turn sward heights into pasture cover. You calculate grazing days from cover, residual and daily demand, set rest periods, days per paddock and rotation length for each season, compare growth with demand and build a feed wedge with LARGE and a target line. Then you decide how many paddocks to close for silage and how many bales they give, size water troughs for a hot day and close the season with a utilisation dashboard and chart.
