Fertiliser & Nutrient Planning: Soil Tests, NPK Rates, Manure Value & Spreader Checks
Plan a fictional farm's nutrients field by field: crop offtake, soil index recommendations, manure and slurry credits, a nitrogen plan, product rates from the bag analysis, blends, spreader calibration and P and K balances, with every cell checked as you go.

About this course
This course turns fertiliser planning into spreadsheet labs you can check cell by cell. On a fictional arable and grassland farm you calculate phosphate and potash offtake from target yields, turn soil index results into recommendations with a lookup table, and credit the nitrogen, phosphate and potash in slurry, farmyard manure and poultry litter. You build a nitrogen plan that never goes negative, convert nutrient needs into product rates from the bag analysis, check the analysis and cost of a blend, calibrate a spreader from a tray test and its output, and finish with area-weighted phosphate and potash balances and a chart.
