Wearable Health Data: Steps, Heart Rate, HRV & Sleep Analysis
Step averages and streaks, weekly trends, resting heart rate with rolling averages, heart-rate zones, HRV (RMSSD) against a baseline, sleep efficiency, social jetlag and correlations: 8 graded labs on one fictional user's tracker data. Not medical advice.

About this course
A wearable health data course that analyses one fictional user's synthetic fitness tracker data in a spreadsheet, for people who wear a tracker, health coaches and data students. You summarise daily steps with averages, goal days and the longest streak, roll steps up into weekly averages with a trend line, smooth resting heart rate with a 7-day rolling average against a personal baseline, set heart-rate zones from maximum heart rate and add up the time in each zone of an interval run, calculate HRV as RMSSD from RR intervals and flag days against a rolling baseline, measure time in bed across midnight and sleep efficiency, quantify bedtime spread and social jetlag and test whether last night's sleep goes with next-day HRV and steps. Synthetic data, no device brands, educational only and not medical advice. The first lab is free.
