About this course

This course teaches PowerShell as a practical tool for auditing and automating security tasks on Windows, using only what ships with the system. You start with the Verb-Noun cmdlet pattern and the object pipeline, learning to filter on real properties and to explore any system with Get-Member and Get-Help. You then write variables, loops, conditionals and functions in .ps1 scripts, and learn what the execution policy actually is, a safety default rather than a security boundary. The later lessons show local reconnaissance, enumerating identity, system details, services running as LocalSystem and listening ports, and network auditing with Test-Connection, Test-NetConnection and Invoke-WebRequest. A capstone recon script ties it together. All practice happens on your own machine or isolated VM, with a check in every lesson and a final exam toward the certificate.
