Process Mining with Spreadsheets: Event Logs, Case Durations, Variants & Bottlenecks
Analyse an order-to-cash event log like a process-mining tool, with formulas: cases per month, throughput times with MINIFS/MAXIFS, activity frequency and rework loops, waiting times, TEXTJOIN variants, a directly-follows matrix heat map, a bottleneck chart and a happy-path conformance and SLA check: 8 hands-on labs, graded instantly.

About this course
A process mining course that analyses the order-to-cash event log of one fictional company, Larkspur Components, with formulas in a spreadsheet, for process analysts, operations and shared-service managers, auditors, Lean and Six Sigma practitioners and data analysts who want to see what process mining tools calculate. You count cases, activities and cases per month, find each case's start and end with MINIFS and MAXIFS and its throughput time, count activity frequency and rework loops, look up the previous event in a case to measure waiting times, turn each case into a variant string with TEXTJOIN and count the variants, build a directly-follows matrix as a heat map, chart the average wait per transition to name the bottleneck, and check every case against the happy path and a 21-day SLA. Fictional company and event log, with no process mining vendor affiliation. The first lab is free.
