About this course
This course turns drone flight planning into spreadsheet work you can check. For a fictional mapping company you turn battery labels into watt-hours, keep a landing reserve and count the packs a mission needs. You estimate flight time from power draw and payload, compare ground speed out and back in five wind scenarios and work out the farthest site you can reach under a battery budget and a sight limit. Then you calculate ground sampling distance and the altitude for a target resolution, plan a mapping grid with front and side overlap, line spacing, photo interval and photo count, add up mission time with turns and battery swaps and finish with a red–amber–green pre-flight panel.
