About this course

In this course you plan the cost of a fictional patent and trademark portfolio step by step in a spreadsheet. You map families, countries and status with SUMIFS and COUNTIFS, compute each case's age and look up renewal fees from an age-band schedule with INDEX and MATCH. You build a due-date calendar with EDATE, grace periods and surcharges, convert fees from fictional currencies and add service fees. You forecast five years per family, measure compound growth, score families for keep-or-drop decisions, calculate the saving from pruning and allocate costs to products with a chart.
