About this course
In this course you work through the billing chain of a fictional law firm, one spreadsheet lab at a time. You round time entries up to tenths of an hour with CEILING.MATH and value them with each time-keeper's rate, build a matter × task-code cross-tab with SUMIFS, and measure billing, collection and overall realisation. You compare hourly, blended, fixed, capped and success fees, calculate a banded contingency fee with SUMPRODUCT, track a matter budget against progress, keep running balances per client in a trust journal and finish with a three-way reconciliation of bank, journal and client ledgers.
