About this course
In this course you quote a fictional injection-moulded part from first principles, with every cell checked. You turn CAD volumes into part and shot weights with a density lookup, add the runner and check the barrel usage. You price the material per good part with scrap, a regrind cap and colour masterbatch, compare tool layouts by parts per hour and production days, and build the cycle time from injection, holding, cooling and mould moves. You size the clamp force and pick the machine class with XLOOKUP, build a machine hour rate from depreciation, energy and labour, compare tools by break-even volume and finish with a quote at three volumes and a chart.
