Tolerance Stack-Ups & Geometric Tolerancing by the Numbers: Limits & Fits, Loop Diagrams, Worst Case vs Statistical, Position Tolerances, Bonus Tolerance & Allocation
Make sure the parts fit before anything is made. You will turn tolerances into limits, classify fits from a fictional fit table, draw a loop diagram for a gap, compare worst-case and statistical stack-ups, rank each part's contribution, check hole positions against a cylindrical zone, add bonus tolerance from the actual size and reallocate tolerances at the lowest cost, with every cell checked as you go.

About this course
This course checks whether parts fit before anything is made, with formulas you can see. You turn drawing callouts into maximum, minimum and mean sizes, pull hole and shaft deviations from a fictional fit table with XLOOKUP and classify clearance, transition and interference fits. You build a loop diagram for a gearbox gap with SUMPRODUCT, compare the worst-case stack with a root-sum-square estimate and rank each part's share in a Pareto chart. Then you judge measured hole positions against a round zone, add bonus tolerance from the actual hole size, compare virtual conditions and choose the cheapest tolerance plan that reaches a target share of good assemblies.
