About this course
This course runs a small fictional wedding and event venue in a spreadsheet. You price dates from a rate card by weekday and season with WEEKDAY, XLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH, apply a last-minute discount, and compare hire-only with all-inclusive packages by contribution and margin. You charge shortfalls on minimum spends, turn floor areas into capacities and tables with INT and ROUNDUP, and measure the enquiry funnel, lead times and open Saturdays. Then you date deposits with EDATE, apply a fictional cancellation scale, add up cash by month with SUMIFS, staff each event and finish with contribution by event type, season profit, a loss flag and a chart.
