Glucose Data Analysis: Time in Range, GMI & Variability from CGM Data
Check data sufficiency, convert mg/dL and mmol/L, compute time in range, below and above with COUNTIFS, the glucose management indicator, the coefficient of variation, the daily pattern by hour, low events of 15 minutes or more and a weekly summary with highlights and a stacked chart: 8 graded labs on one fictional CGM user's synthetic data. Educational only, not medical advice.

About this course
A glucose data analysis course that calculates the standard CGM metrics from the synthetic data of one fictional CGM user in a spreadsheet, for people who live with diabetes and their families, diabetes educators, health data analysts and students. You check data sufficiency against the expected 288 readings per day, convert mg/dL to mmol/L and back, compute time in range (70–180 mg/dL), below 70, below 54 and above 180 with COUNTIFS, turn the 14-day mean into the glucose management indicator (GMI) in % and mmol/mol, measure variability with the standard deviation and the coefficient of variation against the 36% mark, average readings by hour into a daily pattern chart, count low events lasting 15 minutes or more, and finish a weekly summary with highlights and a stacked chart. Educational only, not medical advice, so discuss your own targets with your care team. The first lab is free.
