Retail & 4-4-5 Fiscal Calendars in Excel: Fiscal Weeks, Periods, 53-Week Years, Comparable Weeks & Weekly Sales Reports
Report like a retailer, by weeks and not calendar months. You will number fiscal weeks, map them to 4-4-5, 4-5-4 or 5-4-4 periods, spot 53-week years, line up this year's weeks with last year's and build period-to-date and year-to-date sales reports, with every cell checked as you go.

About this course
This course teaches the weekly calendar that retailers report with. For a fictional chain of home and garden stores you find the first Sunday of each fiscal year from a start rule, turn any date into a fiscal week and day, and map weeks to 4-4-5, 4-5-4 and 5-4-4 periods and quarters. You measure year lengths and flag 53-week years, sum daily sales into weeks with trading days and partial weeks, restate last year after a 53-week year and align a moving holiday. You finish with period-to-date and year-to-date growth against last year and plan, a 13-week trend chart and a flagged weekly trading report.
