About this course

In this course you join a fictional forecasting team and solve the classic macroeconomic models cell by cell. You build GDP from C + I + G + NX and cross-check it with the income side. You solve the Keynesian cross for equilibrium output, the spending, tax and balanced-budget multipliers, and follow the multiplier as a converging series with tax and import leakages. You run demand and supply shocks in a linear AD–AS model, solve IS–LM by algebra for output and the interest rate and measure crowding out. Then you link the output gap to unemployment with an Okun-type rule and SLOPE, simulate a 12-period Phillips curve and compare policy scenarios in a dashboard with a chart.
