Electrical Engineering Basics: Circuits, Power & Energy
Ohm's law, series and parallel resistors, Kirchhoff with Cramer's rule, AC sine waves, impedance, power factor, energy bills and cable voltage drop: 8 hands-on calculation labs (no wiring instructions).
The first lesson is free — no account needed.
About this course
Electrical engineering basics as calculations you check cell by cell, for students, apprentices and anyone refreshing circuit maths. You apply Ohm's law and the power formula to bench loads, combine resistors in series and parallel and check a voltage divider, solve a two-loop circuit with Kirchhoff's laws and Cramer's rule, tabulate and chart a 230 V, 50 Hz sine wave and check its RMS value, calculate the reactance, impedance and phase angle of RC and RL circuits, split real, reactive and apparent power to find the power factor, build a household electricity bill from kWh and check cable voltage drop against an illustrative limit. Calculations only, no wiring instructions. The first lab is free.
