About this course
An engineering economics course in Excel that compares machines, pumps and public projects the way engineers, and the engineering economy part of the FE exam, do. You build cash-flow tables and the F/P, P/F, P/A and A/P interest factors, compare two alternatives by present worth, handle unequal lives with annual worth (EUAC), rank machines by rate of return and incremental ROR, test a public project with the benefit/cost ratio, build a MACRS depreciation table with after-tax cash flow, decide when a challenger should replace the defender and find break-even operating hours with a sensitivity chart. The first lab is free.
