Dosage Calculations for Nursing & Pharmacy
Unit conversions, desired over have, mg/kg dosing, IV flow and drip rates, infusion times, dilutions, % and ratio strengths and BSA doses – each lab with a safety check. Practice with placeholder drugs only, not clinical guidance.
The first lesson is free — no account needed.
About this course
A dosage calculation practice course for nursing and pharmacy students who want to drill the maths until it is automatic, with a safety check in every lab. You convert g, mg and mcg and pounds to kilograms, work out tablets and liquid volumes with desired over have (D ÷ H × Q), turn mg/kg/day orders into daily and divided doses and check them against a maximum, calculate pump rates in mL/h and gravity drip rates in drops per minute, find infusion times and finish times, including one past midnight, prepare dilutions with C₁V₁ = C₂V₂, convert % and ratio strengths into grams and millilitres and calculate body surface area with the Mosteller formula for mg/m² doses. All orders use placeholder drugs and illustrative numbers. This is calculation practice, not clinical guidance: always follow your local protocols. The first lab is free.
