Vehicle Telematics Analytics: Trips from GPS Logs, Distance & Speed, Idling, Fuel per 100 km, Utilisation & Fleet Exception Reports
Turn raw vehicle logs into fleet insight: cut ping logs into trips, compute distances from coordinates, speeds and stop times, measure idling and its fuel cost, compare fuel per 100 km by vehicle and route, track utilisation by hour and build an exception report, all with fictional vehicles and every cell checked as you go.

About this course
This course turns raw tracking data from a fictional delivery fleet into the figures a fleet manager acts on. You cut a ping log into trips from ignition changes, compute distances between coordinates with the haversine formula and a flat-grid shortcut, derive speeds, stops and the share of time moving, apply an idle threshold and price idle hours with fictional fuel rates, compare litres per 100 km against the median and each route type, build utilisation figures and a weekday-by-hour heat map, normalise harsh events per 100 km by ISO week, and finish with an IFS exception report, a top-5 list and a chart.
