About this course
A fleet management course that manages one fictional service company's van fleet by the numbers, for fleet managers, operations controllers and logistics students. You work out what one kilometre really costs line by line, lay out five years of costs and discount them into a total cost of ownership, find the replacement age with the lowest equivalent annual cost, compare buying a van with a 48-month full-service lease by the present value of costs, compare an electric with a diesel van including the charging mix and an internal carbon price and find the break-even yearly distance, measure utilisation and right-size the fleet, catch fuel card anomalies with litres per 100 km and z-scores and test with MTBF whether preventive maintenance pays for itself. The first lab is free.
