In Excel
- Select
B2:B11, Home > Conditional Formatting > Highlight Cells Rules > Greater Than, type 120000 (or click a cell such as$H$1to keep the threshold in a cell), choose Green Fill with Dark Green Text. - Between asks for two values; Text that Contains for a word. Custom Format… in the colour list lets you pick any fill, font or border.
- Never include the header or a total row in the range – a total is always "greater than" and steals the colour.
- Remove rules with Conditional Formatting > Clear Rules (selected cells or entire sheet).
