About this course
This course gives you one repeatable methodology for assessing any mobile app, Android or iOS, on your own emulator, simulator or devices. You learn to scope an engagement and write rules of engagement, then map every check to the OWASP MASVS so coverage is consistent. You review the app statically, inspect local storage for data kept in clear text, and intercept and tamper with its network traffic, including certificate pinning. Because client-side controls can be bypassed, you test the backend API for broken authorization and IDOR against a backend you control. Finally you turn findings into a clear, severity-rated report with fixes. Lessons end with a challenge, a solution and a quiz, for authorized testing only.
