About this course
This advanced course explains the post-connection phase of an intrusion so you can recognize and shut it down, practising only in an isolated lab you own. You learn why ARP has no authentication and how a man-in-the-middle position is reached, how plaintext HTTP Basic credentials fall off the wire, and how DNS spoofing redirects a victim to a cloned page. You study, at the concept level, why client-side backdoors and reverse-shell callbacks defeat inbound firewalls, where Linux persistence hides, and how an SSH tunnel pivots to hosts behind a foothold. A legacy lesson shows why WEP collapses. Every topic ends with concrete detection and defense: ARP inspection, HTTPS and HSTS, DNSSEC, egress filtering, segmentation and persistence hunting. Authorized, legal testing only.
