About this course
This course takes a fictional roofing contractor's re-roof from plan to price. You convert pitches into angles and pitch multipliers with ATAN and SQRT, turn plan areas into true roof area and squares, look up waste by roof complexity and order whole shingle bundles. You give ridges, hips, valleys, eaves and rakes their length factors for ridge cap and drip edge, count underlayment rolls with laps and nail boxes, weigh the tear-off and choose containers by weight and volume, size downspouts from drained area and rainfall, and finish with a quote using a pitch difficulty factor, overhead, margin and a cost chart.
