About this course
This course turns a fictional builder's drawings into order quantities and a price. You calculate slab, footing and pier volumes in cubic metres with a waste allowance and the supplier's order step, count ready-mix trucks and short-load fees and compare them with bagged concrete, lay out a two-way rebar grid with cover, laps and weight per metre, measure edge forms, stakes and release agent, count blocks and bricks per square metre including mortar joints, convert wet mortar into cement bags and tonnes of sand, and finish with a pour quote with labour from crew productivity, overhead, markup and a cost chart.
