About this course

This course turns trek planning into spreadsheet work you can check. On a fictional three-day hut-to-hut route you total distance, ascent and descent per leg and carry the altitude down to the hut. You estimate walking times with a pace rule, add breaks and arrival times, and compare the rule with a smooth slope-speed curve built with EXP. You test each day against sunset, find the latest start and a turnaround time, look up water and food per person-day from banded tables, check pack weight against body weight, split the route into stages under daily limits and finish with a route card and an elevation profile chart.
