About this course
This course takes you to the yard outside a fictional distribution centre. You count the trailers on site at any time from a gate log with COUNTIFS, measure dwell hours and sort trailers into ageing buckets with IFS, compare daily peaks with the slots of each zone and colour the overflows, turn planned trailer moves into shunters per shift, size gate lanes for a target utilisation with a simple queue formula, work out turn times and pool sizes for drop-and-hook lanes, price fictional free-time charges per carrier with XLOOKUP and SUMIFS, and finish with a yard audit and a dwell-time chart.
