About this course
A last-mile delivery economics course that models one fictional courier depot in a spreadsheet, for delivery operations and logistics staff, e-commerce teams and students. You measure stops per hour and stop density on six routes, build cost per drop from driver time, the van's fixed cost and fuel, work out how many stops fit into a van's delivery window and how many vans each zone needs, find the true cost of failed first attempts and value a pre-alert scheme, compare a parcel locker with a doorstep drop in dollars and CO2 per parcel, compare employed drivers with per-drop gig couriers and find the break-even rate, price zones and a free-delivery threshold against the cost to serve and plan peak-season vans and drivers. The driver comparison is a cost model, not legal or employment advice. The first lab is free.
