EMS Response Time Analytics: Percentiles, Coverage & Unit-Hour Utilisation
Analyse a fictional ambulance service in a live grid: call-to-arrival intervals from CAD timestamps, 90th percentiles, compliance by zone and priority, unit-hour utilisation, demand vs staffing, station coverage, hospital offload delays and a performance dashboard, every cell checked as you go.

About this course
An EMS response time analytics course that analyses the operations data of one fictional ambulance service in a spreadsheet, for EMS managers and analysts, dispatch and quality staff and paramedic and public health students. You split CAD timestamps into call processing, turnout and travel time, including a call that crosses midnight, compare the average with the median and the 90th percentile response time in an urban and a rural zone, look up targets by zone and priority and build a compliance matrix, calculate unit-hour utilisation and the extra unit hours needed to stay under a ceiling, compare hourly demand with staffed ambulances in a chart, measure station coverage within 8 minutes with and without one station, size hospital offload delays and the ambulance hours lost, and finish a monthly dashboard with conditional formatting. Operations analytics only, not clinical guidance. The first lab is free.
