About this course
In this course you calculate the parts for a fictional greenhouse monitor built around a microcontroller. You size LED series resistors, pick standard E12 values and check resistor power. You design voltage dividers for an analog input, convert ADC counts into volts and sensor values, and turn thermistor readings into temperatures with the Beta equation. You work out RC time constants, charge curves, debounce times and a blink frequency, map PWM values to average voltage, gamma-corrected brightness and servo pulses, build a power budget with regulator heat and battery runtime, and price a small run with price breaks.
