Exam Marking & Grade Boundaries: Mark Schemes, Double Marking, Moderation Adjustments, Boundary Setting from Distributions & Component Weighting
Handle marks the way exam teams do. You will total marks from mark schemes, compare double-marked scripts against a tolerance, adjust a marker's marks from a moderation sample, set grade boundaries from target cumulative percentages, see how a boundary shift changes grades, weight and scale components and review re-mark requests, with every cell checked as you go.

About this course
In this course you work through the marking of a fictional school's exams step by step in a spreadsheet. You total question marks, catch marks above the maximum and highlight missing ones. You compare double-marked scripts against a tolerance, check each marker's mean and spread, and adjust marks from a moderation sample with SLOPE and FORECAST.LINEAR. You set grade boundaries from target shares with PERCENTILE.INC, test what a one- or two-mark shift changes, scale and weight components into an overall grade and finish with re-marks, a grade distribution and a chart.
