Candle Making Math: Container Volumes, Wax Weights, Fragrance & Dye Loads by Percentage, Batch Sizes, Cost per Candle and Pricing
Measure and cost every candle you pour. You will compute container volumes, convert them to wax weights with a fictional density, add fragrance and dye as percentages of wax weight, scale batches to your melting pot, track yields and leftovers, cost each candle and set prices for markets and shops, with every cell checked as you go.

About this course
In this course you plan the numbers of a fictional home candle studio, one spreadsheet lab at a time. You measure round and square containers up to their fill line, turn millilitres into grams of wax with fictional label densities and add fragrance as a percentage of the wax weight, checked against a fictional label maximum. You scale dye drops and additives to each batch, fit a production plan into a melting pot with ROUNDUP and work out the wax left over after buying whole bags. Then you look up parts from a fictional supplier chart, cost every candle including your minutes and set retail and wholesale prices with a product-mix chart.
