About this course

In this course you plan a complete flat renovation in a spreadsheet that checks every cell as you go. You calculate floor and wall areas and subtract doors and windows, turn square metres into litres of paint and whole cans, add waste allowances to flooring and tiles and round up to packs. You compare contractor quotes per square metre against the median, decide whether DIY pays once your own hours count, chain the trades with WORKDAY around holidays and draw Gantt bars. Finally you track committed versus paid costs against a contingency and judge energy upgrades by simple payback and net present value.
