About this course
A two-sided marketplace metrics course that runs the numbers of one fictional home-services marketplace in a spreadsheet, for marketplace founders, operators, product managers and investors. You turn a month of orders into GMV, net revenue and the take rate by category, measure what share of registered buyers and sellers are active and follow both sides' cohorts, summarise a request log into fill rate and time to match, flag cities where buyers per seller fall outside a healthy band, follow one order per category from net revenue to contribution margin after payment fees, support and incentives, test whether a $25 first-order coupon pays back, measure network effects as the rise of the fill rate with seller density on a scatter chart and finish with a monthly dashboard with red flags and sparklines. The first lab is free.
