About this course
A trade finance course that follows one fictional textile exporter and its overseas buyer through a deal in numbers, for trade operations staff, treasury and credit teams and international business students. You split shipping costs by Incoterm and build the quote, calculate letter of credit fees per quarter with minimums, check six presentations for amount tolerance, late shipment and the 21-day presentation period, discount an export bill and price a forfaiting deal, factor invoices with the advance, fees and reserve release, compare supply chain finance with the supplier's own borrowing cost, measure the cash conversion cycle with and without trade finance and rank payment methods by cost and a weighted risk score. Incotermsยฎ and UCP 600 are referred to only in general terms, and Tabellab is not affiliated with the ICC. Educational, not legal or financial advice. The first lab is free.
