About this course

A 13-week cash flow forecast course that builds the weekly direct-method forecast of one fictional wholesaler under pressure, Kestrel Outdoor Supply, in a spreadsheet, for FP&A and treasury staff, controllers, restructuring and turnaround advisers, lenders and finance students. You start from the available cash on the bank statement and a Monday-to-Friday week calendar, forecast customer receipts from the AR ageing with a collection curve, place one-off receipts in the right week, schedule payroll, rent and supplier payments on their terms, let a revolver draw and repay around a minimum cash balance with MAX and MIN, measure liquidity headroom against a covenant in a chart, compare forecast with actual and roll forward a week, and test levers that lift the cash trough. Fictional company, illustrative figures, educational only, not financial or lending advice. The first lab is free.
