About this course

This advanced, defender-focused course covers MASVS-RESILIENCE, the controls an app adds to make itself harder to tamper with. You start with the key mindset: these checks run on a device the attacker controls, so they raise cost but are never a security boundary. You learn the analyst loop of locate, neutralise and verify, and which tool answers which question, from jadx and Ghidra to Frida and LLDB. Five rungs follow: root and jailbreak detection, obfuscation and string hiding, anti-hooking and anti-debug techniques such as ptrace and TracerPid, integrity and signature checks, and layered defences. Each topic explains the concept, why it can be bypassed and how to fix it. The defender playbook puts server-side enforcement, Play Integrity and App Attest first, and a capstone assessment ties everything together. Bypasses are explained conceptually, without exploit code.
