About this course
A project portfolio prioritisation course that decides which of ten proposals one fictional group, Corvane, should fund, in a spreadsheet, for PMO leads, portfolio and programme managers, strategy and finance analysts and PMP or MBA students. You score the proposals against three strategic objectives and tier them, calculate NPV, IRR, profitability index and payback at a 10% hurdle rate, combine strategy, NPV and delivery risk on one 0โ5 scale into a weighted priority rank, select projects by profitability index within a $2.1m capital budget, check four teams' capacity in FTE-months and flag overloads, fund mandatory compliance work first and catch a dependency that missed the cut, draw a value-vs-cost curve in the style of an efficient frontier, and re-rank running projects at a quarterly review with a dashboard chart. Fictional company and illustrative figures. The first lab is free.
