About this course

A logic, sets and truth tables course for discrete maths and computer science students, puzzle fans and analysts who write business rules, with every proof checked in a spreadsheet. You build the truth tables of AND, OR, NOT and XOR with Excel's own logical functions, compute an implication, its converse and contrapositive and the biconditional, prove De Morgan's law and the distributive law over all eight rows of a three-variable table, treat customer groups as sets in 0/1 columns for union, intersection, difference and Jaccard similarity, count all eight regions of a three-set Venn diagram with COUNTIFS and check them with inclusion–exclusion, solve a knights-and-knaves puzzle by testing every possible world, express "for all" and "there exists" as COUNTIF tests and find conflicts and gaps in a discount rule table. The first lab is free.
