About this course
This course follows one fictional commercial dispute from loss to settlement in eight spreadsheet labs. You project but-for revenue, deduct avoided costs to get lost profits and credit the margin on substitute sales as mitigation. You calculate statutory interest across a changing rate table with XLOOKUP, compare actual/365, 30/360 and compound interest, and total late-payment interest on paid and unpaid invoices. Then you discount future lost earnings with NPV, weight trial outcomes and costs into a net expected value, solve for the break-even win probability and compare a structured settlement with a lump sum using PV and RATE. Every cell is checked as you go.
