ANOVA & Experimental Design in Excel: One-Way, Two-Way & Post-Hoc Tests
Design and analyse experiments in Excel: group means, sums of squares with DEVSQ, the one-way ANOVA table with F.DIST.RT, effect sizes, assumption checks with Levene, Tukey HSD and Bonferroni, randomised blocks and a 2×3 factorial with an interaction plot, in 8 graded labs.
The first lesson is free — no account needed.
About this course
An ANOVA and experimental design course that analyses one fictional coffee chain's in-store experiments in a spreadsheet, for analysts, students and researchers who want to know what the ANOVA output really means. You summarise a four-display trial with group means and the grand mean, split the variation into between- and within-group sums of squares with DEVSQ, complete the one-way ANOVA table with degrees of freedom, mean squares, F, the p-value from F.DIST.RT and the critical value, measure effect size with eta squared, omega squared and Cohen's f, check equal variances with a variance ratio and Levene's test, find which pairs differ with Tukey HSD and Bonferroni-adjusted t-tests, remove store-to-store differences with a randomised block design and analyse a 2×3 factorial experiment with an interaction plot. The first lab is free.
