About this course

In this course you practise exam-style mechanical reasoning questions in a spreadsheet, with every cell checked. You balance levers with moments and find the pivot of a loaded plank, work out gear speeds and directions with MOD and multiply compound gear ratios with PRODUCT. You count supporting rope segments for pulley effort and rope pulled, push loads up ramps with SIN and RADIANS, size the effort on a screw jack and combine springs in series and in parallel. You solve hydraulic presses from areas and diameters, belt drives and the wheel and axle, and finish with a timed ten-question mixed test, its answer key and a score.
