About this course
An accounts payable course that runs the purchase-to-pay controls of one fictional outdoor-gear company in a spreadsheet, for AP clerks, accountants, auditors and finance students. You age the open invoice register into due-date buckets and chart it, run a three-way match of purchase orders, goods receipts and invoices with price and quantity tolerances, catch duplicate invoices with cleaned keys, running counts and near-duplicate checks, annualise 2/10 net 30 discounts and decide whether to take them against the credit line, build a weekly payment run within a cash limit, measure AP turnover and days payable outstanding over five years, review the vendor master for missing tax IDs, unverified bank-detail changes and shared bank accounts, and accrue goods received not invoiced at month end. The first lab is free.
