About this course
In this course you close the trading days of a fictional café and deli in a spreadsheet. You turn the till's end-of-day report into net sales and split them by fictional tax rate into net of tax and tax. SUMIFS and COUNTIFS total the tenders and expose a gap to the report. You work out card fees, payout dates with WORKDAY and match the batches to the bank with COUNTIFS, including a combined payout. You calculate expected cash, over/short and tolerance flags, roll tips payable and the gift-card liability forward, post a balanced daily sales journal with a card clearing account, and finish with a month view of open items, their age with DAYS and a chart.
